These 6 places and things to do are definitely Spokane’s main tourist attractions and for a excellent reason too! If you’re visiting beautiful Spokane, here are a few of the cities most popular interests.

1.Riverfront Park

Apart from the stunning scenery, Riverfront Park includes several attractions for year round entertainment and fun! The Looff Carousel, which has been around since 1909, along with gondola rides over the falls, the IMAX theater, and amusement rides are just a few of the summer activities that take place by the rippling river. During winter, the lively amusement rides are switched out and a crisp ice rink is put in its place. The astonishing clock tower is Riverfront Park’s center piece. It has been standing since Spokane hosted Expo’ 74 and is all that remains from “The World’s Fair.” Overall Riverfront Park is a “must see” when touring the lovely city of Spokane!

2. Manito Park

Manito Park is THE place to see while in Spokane! Manito means “Spirit of Nature” and boy, do you get a taste of that while walking through Manito! Manito Park has five different gardens- Duncan Gardens, Japanese Garden, Perennial Garden, Rose Hill, and Lilac Garden. Manito Park also includes, two different playgrounds for children, a relaxing duck pond, and even a delicious cafe!  While visiting Manito’s gardens, you get to see a wide range of beautiful flowers and several kinds of birds flying around. In the Japanese gardens you get to see several different colors of fish as well! The workers of Manito work hard all year round to help keep the park looking sharp! You wouldn’t want to miss seeing this outstanding park while in Spokane!

3. The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture

The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture, also called The MAC, was introduced to the Spokane area on June 5th, 1916. The museum began with focusing mainly on history but later decided to include art as well. In 1925 the incredibly fascinating Campbell home was gifted to the museum making the museum even more interesting! Today, the museum presents the best of regional art, history and American Indian cultures. The museum is fun for large groups or even just to go by yourself. The exhibits in this outstanding museum are changed frequently so don’t think you can only go once! The museum also includes a shop and a yummy cafe for when you’re ready to grab something to eat. Add visiting this outstanding musuem to your list of things to do while here!

4. Spokane Falls

Spokane Falls- a requirement for all nature lovers who come to this city! The Spokane River, flows through the heart of downtown with powerful force! Flows of this river can reach up to 31,000 cubic feet per second! When looking at these beautiful, rapid waters from the footbridges, it gives you an awe-inspiring feeling. You instantly connect with all things nature and appreciate this little city even more! There are several activities you can do while experiencing the river. For instance, enjoy a delicious picnic near the water, go on a bike ride around the falls, dine at some of the nearby restaurants to enjoy an incredible meal with a fabulous view of the river, or take a gondola ride over the stream to get an even closer view! You have to experience the Spokane Falls in order to understand it!

5. Cat Tales Zoological Park

Cat Tales Zoo is an experience like nothing before! Although the zoo itself is small, the amount of fun you have is enormous! This city’s zoo includes a wide range of animals from, tigers to lions to rabbits to dogs! Cat Tales has a unique part that most other zoos don’t have. They welcome and doctor any animals that have been abused, hurt, or has other health issues. Animals from all around the US are brought to Cat Tales in order to have those animals helped. Many animals are born at the park too! When visiting the park, you get to walk around and see all the different animals. Cat Tales also offers a chance for you to hand feed certain animals or you could take a “Behind the Scenes” tour. This zoo is for all ages and a wild adventure! 6. Spokane Convention Center

The stunning Spokane Convention Center is located right downtown! With outstanding scenery all around, the convention center holds some of the greatest shows and exhibits. The design of the convention center was built in order to make a connection between the facility and the essential beauty surrounding it.  From wedding fairs, to sports tournaments, to helping the community meetings, the Convention Center has tons of fun activities for all age groups!
